Empowering communities through movement, wellbeing, and connection.
Futures Active is a community wellbeing programme designed to make physical activity accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone, especially people from disadvantaged and underrepresented communities across Greater Manchester.
We believe movement is more than exercise , it’s about building confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging. Futures Active offers safe, supportive spaces for people of all ages and abilities to get moving, improve wellbeing, and make new friends.
What we Offer

Walking & Hiking
Guided local walks and countryside hikes to improve fitness, mental health, and connection to nature.

Tennis
Inclusive coaching sessions for all ages and skill levels. A chance to learn new skills while staying active.

Cycling
Community rides and safety workshops for beginners and families, helping participants gain confidence on the road

Dance
Energetic, fun classes for everyone; including pregnancy-safe sessions led by qualified instructors

• Support mental and physical wellbeing through social connection and fun.
• Build confidence and leadership by training volunteers to become local activity champions.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to activity, Futures Active offers something for you. We especially welcome families, young people, older adults, and pregnant women looking for safe, supportive ways to stay active.
